Chronovisor Provides an Alleged Window Into Humanity’s History
Ever since H.G. Wells’ popular novel The Time Machine was released, humanity has been contemplating the idea of time travel. All thoughts on the subject tend to lead back to science fiction, however, and no real evidence exists to verify whether time travel is possible, one way or another. This makes the Chronovisor one of the strangest inventions to ever be discussed. The Chronovisor is a device owned by the Vatican that is said to be able to photograph the past and the future. This is how the Vatican is said to be able to keep its influence over humanity after so many years. Some even believe this strange device is one of humanity’s best guarded secrets.
The Team Behind the Chronovisor
On May 2, 1972, an Italian newspaper released an extremely shocking story. They reported that a device had been created that would allow the observer to photograph the past. Allegedly, this device could peer into historical events that went back as far as to the time of Jesus and offer relevant information about his life. You can imagine the stir this caused. The device was said to have been engineered in the 1950s by a team of scientists led by Father Pellegrino Maria Ernetti, an Italian physicist who eventually became a priest. The group of scientists were said to be helped by Nobel Laureate Enrico Fermi and the famous rocket scientist Wernher von Braun.
The Mechanics of the Chronovisor
This small device is reported to be made from precious alloys, cathode tubes, dials, levels and some antenna. According to Father Ernetti, it is able to record specific locations and follow important people through history. Under the right conditions, the Chronovisor is said to be able to see into the near future. He claimed it works by “…processing residual electromagnetic radiation left over by numerous processes.” Ernetti also stated that the machine picks up sound and color that are “created” by humanity and left “floating” in space.
Historical Events Allegedly Witnessed Through the Machine
Although Ernetti is mostly guarded about sharing facts about the Chronovisor, he did reveal that he had used it to witness important events in history. The most notable and surprising of these events is the crucifixion of Christ, which he says he was able to see using the Chronovisor. He also claims that he saw the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and other major historical events such as the founding of Rome in 753 BC. He has even stated that he was able to witness a number of biblical episodes including what was written on the stone tablets given to Moses by God on Mount Sinai along with historical events pertaining to figures such as Napoleon and the Roman philosopher Cicero.
The story of the Chronovisor is certainly compelling. If this device really does exist, it could be humanity’s best guarded secret but its purported existence is still deeply shrouded in mystery. With limited access to the machine, it’s hard to verify what Ernetti claims to have seen. We know that humans do indeed leave electromagnetic footprints in space. If this machine truly is able to pick up these footprints, the implications are incomprehensible in their enormity.
